The Europa Rad Cologne - between Old Town and Rheinauhafen, directly on the Rhine

The Europa Rad Cologne is easy to find. It is conveniently located on the banks of the Rhine in Cologne’s Old Town, or rather in the Rhine directly next to the Chocolate Museum. Because as the pier head of the Rheinauhafen peninsula, the river flows around us from both sides.

The easiest way to get to us is on foot, coming from the Old Town and the Cathedral, walk upstream along the banks of the Rhine in a southerly direction. You will pass the landing stages and walk directly towards us. From the Cologne water level – below the Deutzer Brücke – it is still about 500 meters.

How to get to us

you should always take the Rheinuferstraße, which is called Holzmarkt on the level of the museum.

Since we are directly at the Chocolate Museum, enter “Am Schokoladenmuseum 1a”. Many navigation systems do not recognize this address, so we recommend that you enter either “Holzmarkt” or “Rheinauhafen”.

Parking …

is possible in the immediate vicinity of the Ferris Wheel, e.g. in the underground car park “Rheinauhafen”. There are three entrances on the Rheinuferstraße: one near the Südbrück, another near the tram crossing in the building of the “Luther” law firm and at the Bayenturm near the harbour office (Harry-Blum-Platz). The underground car park is very long, drive to the end of the red zone and use the last staircase 1.01. There is a lift at staircase 1.03.
Prices and opening hours can be found here.

Further car parks are located in the Hotel “Maritim” and under the Heumarkt. A short walk (500 m) along the banks of the Rhine takes you from there to the Ferris wheel.
